2.Scope

This notice covers personal data processed when browsing unur.co.uk, purchasing online or in-store, contacting the company, or engaging with marketing communications.

3.Data we collect

  • Identifiers: name, email, phone, delivery and billing addresses, order details, account IDs
  • Payment data: handled by payment providers; full card numbers not stored
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser info, pages viewed, interactions, cookies/SDKs
  • Preferences & communications: marketing consents, wishlists, service messages

4.Why we use your data (lawful bases)

  • Service provision: account creation, payments, order fulfilment, returns, customer support (basis: contract necessity)
  • Security & compliance: fraud prevention, site security, record-keeping (basis: legitimate interests)

8.International transfers

Some providers process data outside Jersey/UK. Transfers use recognised safeguards including adequacy decisions or approved contractual clauses (SCCs/IDTA) as required by Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and UK GDPR.

9.Retention

Data retained only as long as necessary: typically up to 7 years for order/transaction records (tax and accounting); until unsubscribe or inactive list pruning for marketing. Data then deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

10.Your rights

Under Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and UK GDPR equivalents, individuals may request: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to certain processing (including direct marketing). Right to complain to JOIC exists.

11.Children

The company does not knowingly market to or contract with children. For online services requiring consent, children over 13 may provide their own; otherwise parent/guardian consent required.

12.Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures employed, including access controls, encryption in transit, need-to-know access, and vendor due diligence. No system is 100% secure. Account holders should keep details confidential and report suspected misuse.
